What is a bedside crib?
A bedside crib (or co-sleeper) is a small bed that attaches to the side of the parents’ bed, level with their mattress. One side folds down or opens, so your baby sleeps right next to you but in their own space. It makes night feeds easier and reassures both parents and newborn. It is used from birth to about 6 months, and a convertible bedside crib then carries on as a standalone crib or a playpen.

Convertible or electric bedside crib?
- Convertible (LEO): you keep using it well beyond the first 6 months, as a rocking crib and then a playpen up to 3 years. One purchase for several stages.
- Electric (iDream): automatic rocking helps your baby fall asleep and gently starts again if they wake up. Handy for difficult nights.

How to set up a bedside crib safely
- Fasten the straps to the bed base or frame of the parents’ bed, never to the mattress alone.
- Adjust the height so that your baby’s mattress is level with yours, with no gap between them.
- Always lay your baby on their back, on a firm, flat mattress, with no pillow, duvet or soft toys.
- Choose a model that complies with the European standard EN 16890 for bedside cribs.
Our cribs are approved from birth up to 9 kg. Multi-function models with a high chair function can accommodate children up to 15 kg, but only in the high chair position. The exact age and weight limits are specified in the technical specifications of each model on our website.
Most of our cribs come with a mattress included, compliant with European safety standards — firm enough for newborns, with a breathable and washable cover. Replacement mattresses and compatible mattress protectors are available in our accessories catalogue.
